Antique findings ...

Our trip to Belgium took us to a warehouse called Sledgers (http://www.slegers-antiques.com/) ... a fun place to find cheaper priced items ... I had a great time looking at all the possiblities... We also went to another store. Much more expensive, but with beautiful pieces. I walked in and immediately saw a beautiful wardrobe that I needed ... until I was told the price!! But, I found another one ... with another pretty price.. at last, I found the perfect one! Nice and wide, shelves already in it, pretty shape and size, not too deep to be impractical for use ... When I brought the man over to ask the price on this one .. he said, "you have a good eye" .. drat!! another expensive one!! But, I really like this one, and am trying to convince my husband that it might just be the perfect one! (He has a day off work next week and I'm going to try to wrestle him to the store - it really is much more beautiful in person!) I debated about this coffee table at Sledgers, (sorry about the bad picture, it was in tight quarters with stuff on top, and all around ...) - but, there were 2 and I figured I could bring Darren back for an opinion, since there is also one very similar in the antique store on base for a little less ..

I settled on this pretty bookshelf with wrought iron sides (it is REALLY heavy!) ..

It was so fun shopping and looking! It was a fun day with friends. We had great talks up and back and enjoyed the day. I can't wait till our next outing ... Will it be the "Red Plate Store", or the "Basket" store? I don't care which!! It's fun to go with friends and see fun things!
