Yes, I'm still alive ...

So... I pestered my sister for pictures from her cabin so that I could hurry and blog my summer adventures, and then be able to blog my trip to France for pottery, then my quick trip to Nove, Italy, and the family trip to Rome over Labor Day... Well, it's obviously that I have not blogged any of those things (except, of course, the fabulous pictures from my sister!) ... I've been a little side tracked .... The summer went faster than I anticipated. And then, school started. Which should have made life easier -- afterall, the kids would be in school, and I would have all day.... But, a couple days before school started, the school called to see if I could substitute the first 2 days of school for a teacher that had to go back to the states for a funeral. No problem, 2 days. But, then while at the school the first day, the secretary asked if I could do some long term subbing for a couple of weeks. Sure. Afterall, substituting is very unpredictable, and who knows when the next day of subbing would come. Well ... we are well into the third (? or is it the fourth) week of school, and I'm still there every day! They were hoping to hire a special ed. aide by now, but no luck. Now that I have been there as long as I have, I feel committed to the children I work with everyday. I don't want a full time job, but I don't want to put the children through trying to get used to and comfortable with another person... so, I continue to sub until they find someone ... Meanwhile ... School has been going for a week... It's Sunday, and I get a call from a Bishopric member, "As you know, we don't have a Seminary teacher, and we were wondering if you could substitute in seminary?" GULP! WHAT!? Well, if it's just substituting ... The next thing I know, the Stake person over Seminary has called me, and an hour later, I have the materials for our ward, and a request to try to start to on Wednesday ... So, I substituted Wed- Friday ... Then, on Sunday, they officially called me to Seminary, and released me from Primary! It's a HUGE change ... but, I think it will be good. So far, so good ... Now I'm really hoping that they hire someone at the school!! So... as soon as I get some pictures loaded on my computer, and as soon as I get a little more on top of things, and a little more time ... I'll show you my fabulous adventures!
